The Process
How We Work Together
We will enjoy contact throughout the development life cycle, but here are the main stops along the way.
- Step # 1
Discovery
During this phase A LOT happens. We perform market and keyword research in order to create a search engine optimized (SEO) sitemap. After you fill out our questionnaire we meet to listen to your goals and share our research. We use this information to form a clear narrative that translates directly into the structure of the user experience (UX). From here we create wireframe representations of the UX. And once you love them, we head to step two.
- Step # 2
Development
Here we build upon the wireframes adding copy (written content), color scheme, content (images and videos), and branding. We optimize for speed, security, mobile-responsiveness and accessibility. We share progress as we move forward and consider any revisions where necessary. We stage the site and once we are all happy and excited, move on to step three (our favourite).
- Step # 3
Testing and Deployment
By this point the site is almost ready to go but first we must test. We will test the site to ensure it is fast enough to call it fast. We test for accessibility so that all your visitors can enjoy the site regardless of their ability. Next, we test the security and double check all backups and updates are properly scheduled. Finally, we test the technical SEO to make sure your website is ready to impress Google when we go live. Once everything is working properly we DEPLOY.

Hosting and Care
Your new website needs somewhere to live and someone to take care of it. It requires updates, monitoring and occasional adjustments to keep it performing at a high level. At Studio Black Web Design we host all of the websites we build. This is the best way to ensure that the product we deliver to our client continues to perform hassle free. We have multiple care plans available to choose from. We also offer a referral program for clients interested in earning their way to free services.
